April 22, 201214 yr I've just finished installing all my FSX add ons to p3d and now I get a fatal error when opening P3D. I have the following addons: PMDG MD-11, NGX, 747X Aerosoft Anchorage, Approaching Innsbruck, Gibraltar, Madeira, Mega Airport Amsterdam, Mega Airport London Heathrow Carenado C172, C208 Devinci KSAN Flight Beam KSFO Imagine Sim KSJC Level-D 767 Fly Tampa St. Maarten Complete, Hong Kong Kai Tak, Boston Logan FS Dream Team GSX, KDFW, KJFK, KLAS, KLAX, KORD, PHNL, Zurich FS2Crew 737NGX, PMDG 747 Captain Sim 757, C-130 Just Flight World Airports 3 Latin VFR Miami Leonardo Mad Dog MD-80 Mega Scenery Las Vegas, Reno, Oahu Navigraph Airac Updates Zinertec Night Environment X Overland Incheon X REX+Overdrive FSX HQ Thunder Soundpack Wilco 737 Evolution, Airbus Vol 1+2, Embaer Regional Jets, Avanti II McPhat World Airliners 1,2,3 for Embraer Regional Jets Does anyone know of any compatibility problems for P3D with these addons? April 22, 201214 yr 'Fraid I have no immediate solution amongst that soup of add-ons. Did you not run P3D in-between each install? If so then surely the last is add-on installed is likely to be the best place to start with fault finding. My observations on the soup is that Hong Kong and Las Vegas add-ons are no longer required as P3D comes natively with enhanced scenery for these locations. I too installed them on my first run and found no adverse effects - as I suspect they are the same packages now bundled into P3D. But also found on my second run that everything was dandy in those locations without having to install them. Furthermore were you really able to install into P3D with the Aerosoft installer? I recall all original Aerosoft sceneries required a manual cutn'paste from several locations. I suspect it is this series of actions across multiple add-ons in your soup that is causing your woes. My limited experience would be to re-install starting from scratch going much slower to ensure stability between installations to ensure no catastropic failures along the way. Though inhindsight you probably have already deduced this.
April 23, 201214 yr Author Aerosoft PMDG REX Mad Dog FlyTampa and FSDT all installed and worked 100% so I've been checking the rest through out the day. I was just wondering if anyone here had any problems so I would know which one to jump to first. Aerosoft installers you just have to point to the P3D file. April 23, 201214 yr On the Aerosoft installation check out this thread from Aerosoft themselves on the installers failure to work with P3D along with their VistaMare. http://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?/topic/53924-prepar3d-and-aerosoft-products/ The thread does go onto explain how to manually port them in which will then work with limitations on VistaMare and AES. In my case an installer install pointed at P3D for Gibraltar X appeared to install correctly without actually installing the revised details for The Rock and the runway.
April 23, 201214 yr Hello, I think the Flight Beam scenery KSFO is not P3D compatible, because it uses the Addon Manager known from FSDreamTeam sceneries. All FSDT sceneries are compatible with P3D but Flight Beam's KSFO doesn't use a modified Addon Manager for using with P3D up to this time. Patric

April 25, 201214 yr Hello; Flightbeam KSFO works, according to the posts in this forum,I can't remember what they did,but said they had it working, read through the compatability posts. Mark Mark
April 25, 201214 yr I'm glad to find this discussion. I am slowly adding aircraft and scenery to my newly installed P3D. So far I have had a couple of fatal errors and at least 2x out of memory crashes I'm keeping FSX at the ready until I iron out these disappointments. I hope to not have issues with Flightbeam KSFO or the FSDT airports. Keith Keith Guillory
April 25, 201214 yr Hello; I'm still thinking about purchasing it,haven't gotten around to it yet. Mark Mark
