April 23, 201214 yr Can somebody tell me how to get my REX textures into a snapshot in ASE. I have read the manual a dozen times and i am darned if i can figure it out. All i can see on the screen is 'No snapshot available. I just cant figure out how to take it in the first place and preview it. Sorry for being so dense, but i am obviously missing something. I have downloaded my textures to FSX. Thanks, Rick Hobbs
April 23, 201214 yr Moderator Not at my flight system but IIRC - FSX is not running - Load your REX textures and get hem the way you want.using REX - shut REX down - run ASE - go to the graphics tab - should be a button to CREATE SNAPSHOT (or save snapshot) - should ask you to give it a "type" like bad weather, sunny, etc - pick what you will and save it.Then go back into REX and create another scheme - and repeat. Do this for various weather settings and you'll build up a library of snapshots to use. Vic RIG#1 - I9 14900K MSI Pro z790 RTX 5070Ti 40" 4K Monitor 3840x2160

Vic But when you have done this, are you not supposed to see the screen shot of your snapshot on the graphics page? So that you can see if that is the effect you want. Rick Hobbs
May 6, 201214 yr Ok. Figured out the snapshot. What was it? Best Regards, Vaughan Martell PP-ASEL KDTW
May 6, 201214 yr Author What was it? I didn't realize that you actually have to create the weather you want inside FSX and then start a flight. After you have started your flight and you like what you see, you then take a screen shot and then go back into ASE at the graphics screen and import that screen shot.Regards, Rick Hobbs
