I am flying Tutorial #! in 2d Cockpit and cannot locate the clickspot for the HUD on the side window post as depicted in the picture. I am not in descent phase. Is is possible it cannot located until it is in descent phase? Don't know why I am having so much trouble with this one item.

 

is there any other way to pull it up?

Press "W" to cycle to the HGS in 2D.

you may also click on the HUD handle itself.

Or you can even click on the cockpit frame just to the left of the HGS.

All of this is described btw, in the introduction pdf that came with the plane.

I use the cockpit frame/window frame spot. It seems fairly non critical once you

get used to the general location. I always get it with the first click.

I prefer that one because I don't have to pan up and hunt for the spot on the

combiner.

With the zoom, etc I use, the frame click spot is almost the same place as if

you were replying to ATC using the mouse. In fact, sometimes when I respond to

ATC, I get a little sloppy and drop the HGS instead.. :|
