May 6, 201214 yr any ideas on why it wont boot anymore when i overclock I suggest you do following: Pull the backup battery, turn the switch on the PSU to off, pull the power cable, switch the CMOS reset pin to clear CMOS. Put the battery in, put the power cable in, turn PSU on, press turn on on the PC. It won't turn on of course. Then PSU off again, clear CMOS jumper back to normal, PSU on again, and turn on. Flash the latest BIOS for your mobo and then try again. If it doesn't work after this, you fubare'd your chip probably, or possibly some other component... you could try getting a 2nd chip to test.

May 7, 201214 yr Author do you think its because ive got a crap motherboard that this has happened it will only boot into windows on 3.3ghz i burnt one of the ram slots aswell so i cant run it in dual configuration so i think its time to get a new mobo do you think i should get a new power unit aswell its a 900w had it since the start of 2009 Alexander Shepherd
May 9, 201214 yr Two years are not old for a PSU. And this seems to be not a bad PSU. I don't think it's your PSU. Did you get the new stuff already and tested it?
