ImagineSim New Delhi VIDP released!

As the title says. Another Asian airport and one of the most missing international airports of all FS times.

It is available at Simmarket: http://secure.simmar...dp-fs2004.phtml

I'm rushing to the Aerosoft forum to request AES support. runnergif.gif

Thanks for the heads up. Have you ever flown into Delhi? I've been flying into that airport for over five years now and the visibility is always less the 2 miles, somtimes dropping to almost zero at night.

Not yet but I have some plans to be there visiting India and Nepal.

The visibility problem will help maintaining high FPS though!

Btw Rafal, why do you run your cpu so slow? you can have that running at 4.5ghz on air without any problems, your rig is perfect for FSX. I have the exact same specs as you except I'm on the 2700K clocked to 4.8ghz

To be honest, as much as it sounds brilliant indeed, I have no idea about overclocking.

And the fact that my PC is both my sim rig and my working machine adds some fear to it.

Your chip is made for overclocking and generally considered the best chip for flightsim.

Leaving it at stock is kinda like buying a lamborghini and never shifting above second gear ;)

I'll send you a pm, overclocking is very simple, took me a few minutes and that includes rebooting the pc!

Thanks again for the heads up regarding the scenery, I always look out for your posts.

Cheers

I'm your servant, Rob. It was you who helped me fall head over heels in love with AirSimmer.

Did you build your own PC or get someone to do it for you?

Over 10 years here and AVSIM is still my favourite FS site :-)

In November 2011 I spent a few days (and nights) searching through websites and reading countless posts (also here at AVSIM) to see what is recommended.

Then I calculated my money and ordered such combo to be built by 'Komputronik' in my town. It was about 4000 PLN with Win 7 then (I don't remember exactly, but I may check if you like).

But half a year passed so the same rig will be cheaper now. I am generally glad, but Windows 7 was new to me and it is something you need to get used to (especially when operating FS).

Rafal just curious, how good does fsx run in your current system which is not overclocked?

But we need to have additional hardware to reduce heat, don't we? and I wonder if OCed cpu is stable for daily usage.

Thanks for the scenery Rafal

Hey Coltrane, the key word I used was 'air' meaning you don't need any special cooling on the k chips unless you really push them.

Thank you sir, I'm always in doubt when it comes to over OCing as I have little knowledge about it.

Haha yeah, wait till june - july, its the monsoon season. Its every pilots nightmare in India. Last year, I was plane spotting at VIDP and saw quite alot of action. An Emirates 777-300 aborted the landing at right at the end moment due to a sudden change in the direction of the winds. I'm guessing it was not more than 500 feet above the runway when it aborted followed by 737-700 by Jet Lite which did the same.

If you wikipedia "monsoon". Most pictures will be from India itself cause its intensity is the most here.

Hope to see you guys flying to India more often now.
