May 4, 201214 yr Hi Folks Just wonderd if anybody knew any good sound files for the B777 GE or Trent. I know there are freeware and payware such as TSS and Syncrosoft The problem I find with those is that it simulates the sounds from the PAX Cabin, I am looking for one that does a good job of hearing the sounds in the Flight Deck, such as the A/C Systems when the ENG are shutdown like this clip below Also when the ENG are online, you can barely hear them from the Cockpit, where as the majority I find online, the ENG sounds are so loud its like you are physically next to them. Would appreciate any good ones you could recommend. Regards

May 5, 201214 yr Commercial Member I am currently in the process of reuploading my Trent 800 soundset to the AVSIM file library. OP, based on the parameters you were looking for... I can assure my sounds will be EXACTLY what you are looking for! I spent a lot of attention to detail in the ambiance and making sure the engines were never over powering on the interior but still audible. You'll find they are the loudest during takeoff and final approach and are basically drowned out as the wind gradually tones them out as you climb and gain airspeed. The roll sounds and warning sounds are a real treat too, I'm sure you'll love them! Just keep an eye out on the new files since AVSIM should bring it online real soon. Regards, Emil
May 5, 201214 yr Thanks Emil I am busy downloading the file now. Looking forward to an accurate cockpit sound. Trevor
May 5, 201214 yr Author That sounds great, will download and try later, look forward to trying them. Does it feature the background noise you hear on that video clip above when the ENG are Shutdown? Thanks
May 5, 201214 yr Commercial Member That sounds great, will download and try later, look forward to trying them. Does it feature the background noise you hear on that video clip above when the ENG are Shutdown? Thanks I have a similar sound, but not quite this one. The problem with that sound is the camera is constantly moving and the EQ changes a lot, so it doesn't provide for an accurate sound. Two, I just looked up other videos to duplicate and failed to do so it may be a system specific situation as well. There are always system related factors with flighdeck sounds, it's why they are always controlled by a gauge with payware or high end freeware. To play during a specific situation or flightdeck condition (switch position). It sounds to me like the packs and another unknown sound playing over it. My soundset has a packs noise and another for the gauges and computers running in the background. Emil
May 5, 201214 yr Author Emil Just used your sound pack, it's excellent, just what I have been looking for, I was lucky I decided to post this topic or else I wouldn't have been aware of this sound pack. Would you consider doing the GE90 version? Once again well done and thank you. Regards

Would you consider doing the GE90 version? Once again well done and thank you. Regards That's great to hear... enjoy it!! I have considered the GE90 but doing a soundset is a lot of work it would take me 2-4 months to make a GE90 soundset from scratch since I don't have anything in the works there. Unlikely that I'll be starting a freeware soundset from scratch since the bulk of my FS/Computer time will be devoted to producing the sounds for the QW 787, both engine variants, FSX soundcone version and all of the ambiant and flightdeck warnings. Maybe one day I'll do it but definitely not in the near future and I have to keep my contract options open as well. That said I will continue to contribute payware quality freeware soundsets to AVSIM for everyone to enjoy. Emil
