B777-200 manuals and stuff

Recommended Posts

Be sure to check the classifieds section here on the forum if you're interested in some original B777-200 materials from American Airlines. Will be great for the serious simmer.

I wonder how extensive PMDG's online manuals and such will be. I'm hoping they will be extensive, with checklists and backgrounders.

What materials would that be exactly?

Let's see...

  • 737 - actual manuals from Boeing
  • 747 - actual manuals from Boeing (printed not the ones that came with the 744)
  • MD-11 looks like an actual manual that was tailored for PMDG's requirements
  • J41 - same as the MD-11

... I think the 777 manuals will be extensive.

Excellent, thanks! I don't have any of their aircraft installed (yet), so that's good to know. No wonder they are so well respected!

Yeah Ryan said they will in a post somewhere on this forum. You get the Digital Copy with your purchase and I believe the book edition you buy separately etc.

Why didn't I click on this thread sooner?

Yes it was told to expect a full set in 777 similarly to 737 that said, I expect FCOMs, FCTM and QRH for 777 along with sim-related introduction manual.

I hope the manuals include Performance Tables for every version of the T7, as performance information is essential in the real world too cross check what the airplane is acutally telling you, escpically when you are doing ETOPS and these 14 hour flights.

If Boeing or whatever airline(s) PMDG works with doesn't want to give out that information to the public, they don't have to. Would be nice to have that information.

Though, I'd place my trust in the FMS and the ENG/FUEL EICAS displays. Those (in my opinion) will give you more accurate results rather than basic performance data.
