May 1, 200422 yr Since a few days I'm the owner of Switzerland Professional 2004. Using the freeware small Swiss-airfields (f.e. Mollis, Sion) there is an eleveationproblem. The airfields are placed about 6 feet higher then the SP mesh. I wonder if there is something to do about this? Can I place the airports in the right altitude? And will it affect AI traffic?IN Sion I saw planes (and also my own) flying 6 feet above the field without enignes. Herman Leusman
May 1, 200422 yr This probably happens because the small airfields were based on a less accurate elevation mesh (maybe the default mesh?). Switzerland Pro comes with its own, much more accurate mesh but unfortunately this can result in some problems with addons such as those you're seeing. You should be able to flatten the area around the airports to the correct altitude. I think maybe you'd get more replies if you posted this in the Mesh Design forum. -
May 1, 200422 yr Thank you for your tip. Any idea where I can learn how to flatten the airportaera?Herman
May 1, 200422 yr HermanThere are a couple of utilities that make terrain flattening very easy. I forget their names but you should be able to find them quickly through the Mesh forum.David

May 2, 200422 yr JABBgl should work just fine. It's in the AVSIM library, or do a Google search.David
May 3, 200422 yr Hi,JABBgl is OK to correct the default altitude of the airports in regard of the AI traffic. If you have an height problem in Switzerland Pro, for example in Sion (LSGS), just go into the Airport folder of CHPro and remove all the BGL-files begining with LSGSI did the same for all the airports where I have custom sceneries from Daniel Gauthier and others and it works perfectly. There are only few airports who are slightly misplaced (Sion is one of them) but I can leave with it.Hope it helped
May 5, 200422 yr Hi, thank you all for your support. I'll need a few hours/days to try out all your suggestions. But when I read all I'm very hopefull I'll fix it now. I'll report the results in a few days..thanks again,Herman
May 6, 200422 yr Thanks for all who've helped me. Removing the Switzerland Professional bgl files (of the freeware airfield) in Add-on scenery makes everything run properly. So far as I've seen until now the AI traffic running is also on, and not above or under, the run/taxiways! I'm enjoying Switzerland now (slow and high!).thanks againHerman
