RE. Con trails

 

Have you tried a different screen resolution? perhaps that might be worth experimenting with.

"AI may not always have CTs ,depends on altitude ,outside air temperature" - yes, thanks, I know, but even at 30,000' it's not always the case that I cross AI a/c close enough to note how the contrails look. I'll keep trying/flying - most flights I do see some contrails somewhere. Don't want to reduce my native screen resolution, even on the next notch down things look less than 100% crisp.

It took a bit of fiddling with various files from AVSIM but, for now at least, my contrails look pretty good. No idea why when I tried changing files a few months back there was no improvement.. I just hope that in a week or two I am not back to separate little 'puffs' of exhaust - all my PCs have a mind of their own and seem to change things with no input from me.. (familiar scenario to many, I am sure!).
