May 21, 201214 yr Hello Bryan. Loving the NGX with FS2. Just purchased Radar Contact and also It's Your Plane (for the voice control of ATC commands) I've configured them to where they work great, however, if I am running FS2 (which I always am) I cannot give voice commands to the ATC. I have a dedicated button to mute FS2 so I can make a command, then when released it mutes the Windows voice recognition. That part works fine. But, when I push the button to give an ATC command the red "M" appears in the info panel of the FS2 main panel. This is preventing radar contact from 'hearing' my commands. Can you suggest another config.? I set up the two way voice/mute switch through FSUIPC which has a specific IYP ON & IYP OFF setting. If I turn off FS2 it 'hears' me fine. Once FS2 is initialized I get the red "M" and have to control ATC commands via keyboard. I assume the "M" is soft mute? How can I disable or otherwise work around that? Thanks for you help. E. May 22, 201214 yr Commercial Member Hi Eric, FS2Crew's "Mute" function does not 'mute' the voice recognition engine at all. All 'mute' does is prevent the FO from acting on anything the speech recognition system 'hears'. So there's something else going on. Try changing your IYP mute assignment to something else. May 22, 201214 yr Author I got it figured. It's apparently in the timing and order of which addon is started 1st, 2nd, etc. As long as I activate IYP before FS2 it seems to work ok. Ended up having to uninstall Radar contact. That, combined with AS2012, NGX, IYP, FS2 and my FSDT airports is just too much. Can't get the SIM to load correctly. Ngx loads with partially transparent glareshield. So I have SuperATC with the default ATC using voice commands and learning RW terminology. More difficult than I thought. But who doesn't love a challenge? But thanks for the help. Much appreciated. Eric Grindstaff - MacAir COO Millennium Aviation Company - Macairvirtual.com - The VA with a choice!
