May 21, 201214 yr Hi all, I own flight, fsx, and xp 10 and for the last week I have not been able to fly any thing but flight really like the way the planes behave in the winds and how the winds interact with the terrain. One thing I was hoping any one here could help me with was how to increase the left-- right panning speed when I am in the VC it seems to slow . I have a yoke and a stick and I notice that when I use both hat switches at the same time its about the speed I want. of course having to use both switches is a pain. I was hoping there is somewhere to adjust this setting in the CFG. file any help would really make my day . ! thanx in advance
May 21, 201214 yr Hi, These changes in the Standard.xml worked for me: <Down> <EventName>PAN_VIEW</EventName> <EventUnits>meter</EventUnits> <Repeat>1.000000</Repeat> </Down> Jim F.

May 21, 201214 yr Another approach that offers super fast looking around is using the mouse with the right button depressed. The wheel is then also a handy zoom...
May 21, 201214 yr Author thanks saib I know about that one I want the hat switch to pan faster I dont use track ir or fsuipc so I am off to check the config file now that I am at home on my flying box thanks for the reply. !
May 21, 201214 yr Hi, There's a file called Standard.xml. It contains information regarding keyboard and joystick assignments. It's located in this folder: C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Flight\Players\alphanumericcharacters\Career\Controls Probably a good idea to save a copy of the file at this point. Open standard.xml using Notepad and using the find function, find "PAN_VIEW". Don't omit the underscore. Replace the "32" in that section with "1". If you've added different joysticks there may be multiple sections where "PAN_VIEW" appears. Make sure you, at least, change the one for your current joystick. Save Standard.xml. This worked for me. Post if you, or anyone else, has problems. Jim F.
