FSRecorder causes CTD

Featured Replies

I have ENB on my system and i have had it for half a year and its not cause any problems it just seems as if Ezdok and FSrecorder

Have you tried removing the d3d9.dll and enb.ini from your main fsx folder and then running Ezdok and FSRecorder? There was a couple of other flight simmers I found that had issues with Ezdok and FSRecorder and no solution was ever found. That was back in 2011. You have to rule out the possible causes of your crash. I had ENB on my system back when I first installed Windows 7 64 bit and had several unexplained problems afterwards. Turned out to be the enb module.

Best regards,

Jim

Yes Jim is correct, I ran Enb for 6 months without a crash in sight, all of a sudden last month I had to remove it due to the unexplained crashes with FSRecorder or just normally flying. I have no explanation why this happens but it just does for some folks I`m affraid. As Jim said try removing all enb relatated stuff from your FSX directory just to rule out the cause of the crash. Trust me if I could have kept running enb I would have as I love it, but whats more important? A little extra contrast or a stable system.

You say you do promo videos for people, just add the contrast and brightness post process in the editing suite, thats how I do it now ;)

Thanks Doogie for the explanation. There are also several d3d9.dll's installed by Windows for DirectX. Think one in System32 and SysWow64 directories. The modified one put in the FSX directory via the ENB installation must trump out these DirectX files which are needed for other FSX programs. Anyway, I think there's a new mod that came out that replaces the ENB series mod. Since I'm brain dead right now having just completed 18 holes on the golf course, I can't recall it but will post it if I can find it.

Best regards,

Jim

Ah yes Jim the post process FSXAA injection tool or something like that. Tried it a few weeks ago and got the crashes back. It still uses d3d9.dll in the FSX directory and just brought the same old problems back to me. Cant find the link, there is a topic on here about it though. Same here knackered time for bed ;)

Ok found it
