June 9, 201213 yr Very good advice Scott. I personally am a fan of premieraircraftdesign.com FS addons; Many use the same gauges and they get reåeated in the .cfg file. The problem is they are addon specific,If you delete a repeated one that particular addon may fail whne doing something Like caprurring an ILS signal, eventhough the designers say they use default gauges. I do clean out once in a while; Specially when I get for instance, a new GC driver installed. berlopez
June 9, 201213 yr I say yes. If you think it's justified. If the sim is running well, then no, don't do it, no need. I discovered the other day that there was an additional [GRAPHICS] section in my cfg. No idea how it got there. No doubt it''s been there for a a while. Had one or two issues as well. I do believe in deleting the cfg and allowing FSX to build a new one if necessary. I wouldn't hesitate. Something I've done on occasions for many years, with no ill effects. I make a note of all tweaks and add them back in. Sometimes it does the sim a power of good.
