Full FedEx AI package?

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

I recently traveled to and from KMEM, and both visits was astounded by the number of FedEx planes that sit in the "WorldPort" everyday, awaiting their loads. Wanting to see if this was accurately simulated in FSX, I loaded a flight that started at one of the many gates that FedEx owns...what a surprise, no FedEx planes. After checking my WOAI installed packages, I found I actually did not have a single FedEx package, as the one on their (WOAI's) website state they are "Feeders".

So should I just install the 6 or so FedEx packages from WOAI and hope some mainline jets are included, or is there another package somewhere else?

Those are all feeders. Here are your options, from top preference, to least;

1. Create your own flight-plans using the WOAI planes, with new repaints. To do this, you'll need AIFP (AI Flight Planner).

2. Download the PAI (Project AI) FedEx package, which works fine in FSX, though it's designed for FS2002 and FS2004. It's second because it only includes the A300-600, A310-200, 727-100, 727-200, DC-10-30, and MD-11.

3. Buy a commercial AI package that includes FedEx, or has FedEx as a free expansion. Personally, I don't like this, as WOAI is free, and looks almost, if not as good as any payware AI.

Thanks,

Um, no. the only real option is to download one of the latest plans from the library here and the various repaints

These are just the flightplans, correct? So I need to download FedEx repaints for the planes in the flightplans, and thats it?

May I ask why the other two options are not feasible? There are payware AI with FedEx, and there is a package from PAI, which does work in FSX. Your suggestion was my first one by the way, but in less detail. Just out of curiosity, did you actually read my post, or just assume it's wrong for some reason?

Correct. There's a good tutorial on making AI Routes on the AIFP site.

Thanks,
