June 13, 201213 yr OK. Just about fed up with the mute voice recognition in the 747 and maddog versions. I have set the mute rec. key via the FS2 config. for both aircraft. Then attempted to set up the same key on my yoke button with FSUIPC (registered). It won't allow it. The keyboard button will work as it is supposed to according to the key I have chosen in the configurator. But I cannot program the same key command into FSUIPC. It will show that its programmed but when I press the button on the yoke, nothing. But if I press the same key on the keyboard, it works. These two planes are the only ones giving me a problem. I have the NGX, the JS4100, Level D 767, F1 ATR and a couple of other payware aircraft sucessfully programmed using this same setup. But these 2 won't. Is there a 'block' of some sort in these planes coding preventing that one command from being programmed with FSUIPC? And yes, I have tried ALL the various key commands offered in the FS2 configurator. None will program to a yoke or controller button. Any ideas? Thanks. June 14, 201213 yr Commercial Member Hi Eric, There's no block. Please double check the FSUIPC docs to make sure you're binding the joystick button to the key assignment properly. Best, B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
June 14, 201213 yr Author Hey Bryan. I found an old forum post suggesting a reinstall of FS2 for those two products to "clear" the stuck default key mapping. I did that and was able to subsequently set the key mapping to the 'add' key via FSUIPC and now soft mute is working. Incidentally, a couple of weeks ago I posted an issue with the NGX soft mute not staying on while holding the corresponding button. I think I replied that I had to set up a button to activate/deactivate the hard mute instead. Well, did a reinstall of that one as well and now soft mute works for that also. Please don't ask me why cause I couldn't begin to even guess why they wouldn't work before. Anyway, having great flights with FS2, RC4 and MCE all working together. Thanks again for your amazing work and great service. Eric Grindstaff - MacAir COO Millennium Aviation Company - Macairvirtual.com - The VA with a choice!
