June 13, 201213 yr Not electric bill friendly for sure....lol http://vr-zone.com/articles/intel-haswell-ep-brings-ddr4-to-eat-up-to-160w-190-amps/16141.html
June 16, 201213 yr Wow! Now if only P3D would redesign the core to use 16 processors well ;o) Sounds to me like the sucker will be able to handle volts and heat well. June 16, 201213 yr Sounds to me like they must have addressed the TIM issue since they are saying these Haswell chips are going to be able to tolerate big watts. I hope Intel have learned what they did wrong with heat dissipation with the IB series. If they can manage to keep the temps down on Haswell, we might be able to OC as high if not higher than SB. Also, Haswell will have better IPC efficiency. Clock for clock, it should be about 20% faster than a SB chip.

I'm thinking Haswell will be my upgrade path...all the way from my Q9650 ;o) Noel System: 9900X3D Noctua NH-D15 G2, MSI Pro 650-P WiFi, G.SKILL 64GB (2 x 32GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR5 6000, WD NVMe 2Tb x 1, Sabrent NVMe 2Tb x 1, RTX 4090 FE, Corsair RM1000W PSU, Win11 Home, LG Ultra Curved Gsync Ultimate 3440x1440, Phanteks Enthoo Pro Case, TCA Boeing Edition Yoke & TQ, Cessna Trim Wheel, RTSS Framerate Limiter w/ Front Edge Sync.
