Folks just a heads-up, we will be upgrading our server hardware structure and database software this weekend. In doing so, this will greatly enhance our REX EDGE Technology for our current and future products.

During this upgrade, users of REXPlane and REX Essential will experience temporarily outages that will last over the next 24 to 36 hours. We apologize for the inconvenience this will cause, but in the end this will allow us to deliver a more robust and rich environment for our customers.

Does this mean no real weather injection, FlightAware flight database, etc.? What exactly will not work in REX Essentials?

Thanks for letting us know. I may stick to a saved weather condition then.

The current version of REX Essential will default to NO SERVER ACCESS mode which will only allow for real time or archived weather.

We have finished our server farm upgrades and things are up and running again. We do not expect any outages, but there might be a few throughout the weekend as we tweak everything.
