How much better is the VC with that texture upgrade?

Featured Replies

I'm planning on buying the Level D 767, but the virtual cockpit looks a little dated to me. I heard of a texture upgrade for the VC available on the Level-D forums, but I have not seen any pictures of the actual improvement so far, so I would like to know how much better it looks with the upgrade installed. Also, is it possible to use the Zinertek update for the VC, which is, unfortunately, only for the FS9 version, with FSX?

I was thinking the same thing.

I had watched this video about the one on the level d forums.

Everything still looks all flat etc but the textures aren't ugly.

It doesn't stand up to the NGX but looks better still.

Okay thanks, I don't like the 2D panel of this bird that much so I'll probably be flying in the VC all the time.

I didn't buy it, but I saw a post that said the FMC and some things only work via 2D popups, so be aware it may not be fully VC.

I use this sort of combo for older addons where some things don't work so well in the VC for example the feelThere jets.

With the HD Texture upgrade, the daytime VC is kinda meh; however, the night textures are amazing.
