July 9, 201213 yr After flying some high-elevation airports with the NGX I really got annoyed by dialing the decision altitude for half an hour (up to 7000ft or something). Would it be possible to let the Copilot set the DA/DH using the setting made on the briefing page? Other idea would be a hidden clickspot or new button to quick-fill in the values from the briefing into the NGX. I guess it wouldn't take too much time from your side and would be a nice addition for those users landing at high altitudes.. Just an idea ;) Regards, Matthias Regards. July 10, 201213 yr Commercial Member Hi Matthias, Please check the manual in the section related to the briefing panel. There are extra click areas that allow you to adjust the DH is larger increments so you can adjust the DH quickly. Cheers, B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
July 10, 201213 yr Hi Bryan, I don't think that Mathias was talking about setting the MDA/DH in FS2Crew but setting the MDA in the NGX itself via the EFIS control Panel. I have been flying to high altitude aieports and it's quite annoying and long to manually increase MDA to 7000ft for example with the mouse scroll or the right click. By the way, is it possible to add the following voice command in the next update : "reset flight director". I've seen several videos (and I think it's a SOP from the FCTM) where the crew is performing a visual approach or a manual app (ILS or NPA) and the PF request this command to the PM. Then the PM turns off both FDs and turn them on again to have FDs guidance in case of Go Around. Stephane Location : FMEE
July 10, 201213 yr Commercial Member Hi Stephane, MDA/DH... in that case, he'd need to pass the request directly to PMDG. The SDK doesn't allow for sufficient control of that knob... I can't 'read' the value for DA/DA. Resetting FDs.... I can add it in a future update, using the phrase "reset". But the ability to command the FD's is already there. It just uses different phraseology. Cheers, B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
July 10, 201213 yr Author Hi, indeed I meant writing the value set in the briefing page to the NGX itself. Didn't know you were unable to access this variable. Regards. Matthias Hanel MilViz Beta Team

Cheers, "Reset Flight Directors" is quicker to say than "set flight director off", waiting for the fo to confirm and readback, then "set flight director on", and wait to confirm and readback ;-) Location : FMEE

Stephane And I finally found it in the Boeing's FCTM Chapter 5 for a NPA : Approximately 300 feet above the MDA(H), select the missed approach altitude. Leaving the MDA(H), be prepared to disengage the autopilot in accordance with regulatory requirements. Turn both F/Ds OFF, then place the PM's F/D ON. This eliminates unwanted commands for the PF and allows continued F/D guidance for the PM in the event of a go-around when pitch or roll mode is changed. Complete the landing.
