A few things that have gone wrong in the last 2 days.

Featured Replies

Ok so after nearly a year of flawless operation a few things seemed to have gone very wrong in the last 2 days. Some of these things I have seen talked about on the forums but I can't find the threads at all so here we go.

1. Font on the AC/DC metering panel has gone from dotted to solid. Have posted a ticket about this but as yet no reply.

2. FMC and clock on panel are in disagreement

3. The prediction times in the FMC have gone mental and frankly do not make any sense.

4. On the route I did yesterday from LLBG-OIII there seemed to be an issue with the SID and STAR data that caused a program pin error.

5. Just started a flight with the 900 which admittedly I have not done for a long time and am seeing some truly sluggish climb performance. AS2012 In DWC and nothing else has changed from the norm since it came out.

I find myself wondering what will be next. I seem to be getting all the issues I have read about all at once and have no Idea why. I really want to avoid a reinstall if I can but some feedback would be appreciated.

Regards all

I have thought about that but nothing that I can think of is the answer. And no I have not tried a reinstall as I mentioned on the last line. I really want to avoid it. Not likely though I admit.

About a week ago I moved as2012 over to my laptop which meant getting simconnect set up but all has been fine until the last 2 days. Or at least as far as I could see.

Is there a reason you want to avoid re-install? I mean, serviced based hours can be backed up and liveries re downloaded. It really would be the best way and probably the cure-all.

Yes you are right but it's just a nuisance. Plus I have been waiting for a reply to a ticket since yesterday. I don't want to uninstall only to try and install again to find I need to submit another ticket to reactivate it because I have reached my activation limit. I am planning to fly quite a bit tonight and tomorrow.

I don't get a lot of time to fly and that would really frustrate me when I actually can if you get my meaning.

Yep, totally understand. PMDG should respond to you soon in the ticket and hopefully get you sorted.

I sure would like to know what is causing these font anamolies.

I also experienced this. Doesn't seem to harm the plane at all though.

Well I bit the bullet as it were and uninstalled it. I just did a reinstall and so far all seems ok again. I have no idea what caused any of it and I suppose I never will. Interestingly I received the files to fix the font exactly a minute after I hit the uninstall button. Funny eh?

Ahh well it would not have fixed the other issues anyhow I guess.
