  1. Looks like he still has to use the virtual overhead panel. Nice setup btw.
  2. Reading the manual, or even playing around with the FMC options would have helped.
  3. The MD-11 is my favorite aircraft of all time (both RW and PMDG). Beatiful plane. Saddly, my chances of flying on the real thing are very thin. The NGX is amazing, and I'm sure the T7 will be mind-blowing, but the MD11 will still have a warm spot here. One thing that I red somewhere, is that the MD11 has a poor safety record, specially on landings...
  4. Maybe the same MCP, but there are some small differences between the first two photos. Highlighted in yellow:
  5. KBFI (btw, we need a good scenery for it) to SBGR in TAM colors.
  6. Nice shot Steve. Just an observation though. The real wing seems a lot more flexed. Or not?
  7. Nice graphics. Is that REX? Just kidding. Awesome photo.
  8. I still have the MD-11 and the Queen installed, as it's nice to fly them once in a while. I still have as much fun flying the MD-11 as I have with the NGX. That MD is awesome.
  9. A2A Accu-feel Global FSX enhancement will give you all the extra sounds you want.
  10. Long before the NGX, we hadn't a decent NG for FSX, so you either had to adapt, or keep using FS9. So, one day I sat in front of my oc, and started fooling around with porting some of my favorite planes to FSX. I was able to get the FS9 NG and the F1 727, which kept me happy until I had better options available. In one word, yes, you can do it. Will it be 100% functional? No. But it will do. Today, with the NGX available, I wouldn't even consider porting the FS9 version to FSX. Not even if it was 100% functional. Just buy the NGX, and then have the finest FSX aircraft of all time.
  11. The FS9 737-700 is compatible with FSX after some tweaks.
  12. I will trade your friends "old computer" for my "new computer" any time. Your pc will handle the NGX just fine.
  13. I also experienced this. Doesn't seem to harm the plane at all though.
  14. The Manager of flight operations of Westjet said that they will do the winglet modification to the 737-600 once the certification is done. Apparently, from the pic above of the -600 C-GWCQ, the certification is now fully available. Also according to the Westjet Manager, those winglets are provided by Boeing itself. The WestJet Manager declaration was from the Just Planes - World Air Routes WestJet 737-700 video, right around the 1:57:00 mark.
  15. Only one 777 developer can give PMDG fits, and that is The Boeing company itself. Nevertheless, I am still going for the PMDG product.
  16. I have also wondered about those stall speeds to. Once I was able to land the 738 (with passengers and over 70% fuel) at around 90 knots without stalling.
  17. That's because you are, in fact, in cockpit view. What happened is that you just moved your eye point way outside to that position, but you are still in VC mode. In order to see the aircraft from the outside, you need to select an outside camera. Try to cycle the "S" key until you see the wing as the PMDG pre set passenger view. Now use your asigned keys to move (mine are the arrows - not the numpad arrows) further from the plane. Now you will be able to see the plane as you have just "walked" around it. To access this view easier the next time, use the EZCA aircraft universal view (keep cycling the S until you reach it) to save an outside view. Seems complicated, but it really isn't.
  18. If you want to perform a walk-around using Ezca, you need to assign a dedicated view from the ezca universal camera (outside view). If you just move to the outside from inside the VC, you will experience exactly what you are seeing. Press "S" until you reach the "universal" camera. Then press keypad 2, and move it to where you want. Press 2 again. Then you just need to creat a short cut for that view using the ezca control panel.
  19. All delivery flights for GOL stops at Caracas for refueling, and then proceed straight to SBCF for customs services. No exceptions, as I red somewhere.

I thought Ali G was retired?
  21. I myself have recreated a couple of situations where in both cases the pilots made navigations errors and ended up lost, one hitting a mountain (AA 757 in sout america), and the other running out of fuel (732 Varig in the amazon). I just wanted to see if I made the exact same errors (with the same payload, fuel, etc), if I would end up at the exact same spots. Since I used the LVLD 763 (diferent aircraft), and the captain sim 732 (not realistic enough) the end result was scary close to the rw data. I never wanted to be disrespectful to the dead, and don't feel I was. So, if I found a NG situation that the crew made a mistake, yes, I will recreate it.
  22. I think that hot outside temps demand more power from the engines than colder temps, since the air is thinner when hot. So it is more likely to use packs off in the summer, not during winter-spring. I can be wrong though.
  23. If you look closely to those pics, the eyebrow window is smaller on the NGX too. Small detais that really don't matter.
  24. I rather see a classic 727 or a 737-200 (or even the 733) than a 757 or 767. But any PMDG product is welcome.Jon Alexander.
