It wasn't my either until I tried it. Once I started I got hooked by the amazing systems representation. And also fighting the entire LSAS during approach.

Ships are cooler that you think.

I caved in, we're on the runway at KPAE now... oh my god..

Make sure to get FS2Crew. It adds so much more to the experience.

I'm sure if you just wanted to hear +100 rather than "Approaching Minimums", you could change the sound file of +100 to one of "Approaching Minimums".

Regarding the hydraulics and their noises, I too hope that it gets added to the cockpit sounds. My guess is that if it can be heard in the cockpit it will be there in the PMDG T7's.

Glad to hear you got the NGX finally, have you tried out the HUD? Absolutely love this feature for bad weather and or night landings. I bet you're kicking yourself just a little bit for waiting so long.

Happy Flying

To be honest, from what I've heard is in the 300's you hear mostly the Air Conditioning. However the engine sounds in the flight deck on the 200's are much louder as you're closer to them. I don't actually believe you hear the hydraulics in the flight deck.

I didn't really know about the NGX until Christmas time, even then I wasn't big on it. I have done a few flights in it but I'm still flying the 763 a lot. I haven't flown the HUD as I fly always on the F/O side, I will give it ago for take-off and landing next time though.

Once I get the 777 I'm probably uninstalling everything but my F-16 ha. I like having some fun in that!

Regarding the 777 flight deck sounds, I'll be happy with what ever PMDG simulates as I'm sure they'll be getting it amazingly close to the real thing. Sounds like you have a real love affair with the 777!! I'm looking forward to flying it too but nothing could force me to remove the NGX from my hangar. ;-) One day we'll be some seriously happy FSX simmers with PMDG triple 7's in the hangar.
