July 15, 201213 yr Author I made a youtube video of my problem (in the md11, but its the same in the 747-400/-8) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hDlOq5XehUM&feature=channel&list=UL Andreas Stangenes http://www.youtube.com/user/krsans78 Add me on gamertag: Bullhorns78
July 16, 201213 yr Andres, What I wrote above did happened to me. And yes, I had the same jerky blinky, blinky as in your video, I was lucky to find out the problem cause because I forgot completely the change (trails) I made to the mouse, independenly and outside FSX. Instant fix for me. In your video, one can see that more than one resource (program) is calling for the mouse. One is obviously FS what the other one is, it is now for you to figure it out. Make sure the mouse is clear of novelties like yellow disk around the pointer, etc. It should only be the white arrow pointing left. It is a resource conflict most likely. Good luck. Cheers
July 23, 201213 yr Author Thanks for your inputs, Gentlemen. PMDG has sent me new panel.vc\panel.cfg files for the 747 and the md11, and they now work flawlessly :) I have uploaded them to my skydrive, and you can PM me for links if you need it. July 24, 201213 yr Andreas It was the panel.cfg files then. Active Sky, or some other add on, probably caused the corruption. Happy flying. Frank Regards Frank Jones
July 24, 201213 yr Author Good morning, Jonah! I sent the cfg files from pmdg (together with the original ones) to FSLabs for analyzation since they didnt have an immidate fix for my problems with the Concorde X. According to Lefteris, what PMDG did was to divide the window_size by 3 on every window section in the cfg file in the panel.vc folder. I hope, by this, that I will also get my concorde to work. Thanks a lot, Jonah, for sticking with me through the problems! To others out there searching for a solution, you can download the eyefinity/surround cfg from here: 747: http://sdrv.ms/LJYt7J 747F: http://sdrv.ms/PBKpCh MD11: http://sdrv.ms/LJYw3b The 747 and 747F panel.cfg goes into the panel.vc folder. The MD11 goes into panel.widescreen folder and works for both the pax and freighter variant. I only use the virtual cockpit when flying, and I havent tested if these cfg files solves anything for mouse isses with 2d panels. May 7, 201412 yr Hi Andreas, Thanks for posting the .cfg files and clear instructions on how to install. They certainly corrected my aspect ratio for a much better display, however; I am still experiencing the mouse flickering constantly with no solution to the 2D panels either. Did you have to do any minor adjustments any where else to completely resolve? Also, how were you able to reach out to PMDG? I don't use the 2D view either, but I would like to have it working as well so my little kids can play and explore the passion.... Thanks for any insight you can give me. Cheers, Mr.T
May 7, 201412 yr Author Hi, Mr.T Im afraid that I regarded the issue as solved for my part when the mouse stopped flickering in VC view. I have not pursued a solution to any flickering that occurs when going into 2d panel view with nvidia surround enabled. I checked my links and they still seem to be working, and you are most welcome to download the panel.cfg files as needed. Sincerely, Andreas Andreas Stangenes http://www.youtube.com/user/krsans78 Add me on gamertag: Bullhorns78
October 27, 201411 yr Hi Andreas Just a word of thanks from me. I've had the MD-11 for some time but for some reason tonight I had green crosses in the displays. So I reinstalled only to have the flashing mouse issue. Your post sorted it out so many thanks! Jay Jason Jackett
