July 21, 201213 yr I would like to know if default FS9 airport terminals can be ported over to FSX? I would like to take the "Medium Airports" file, of which the textures were modified by Chris Arrington (AEU7) and use it in FSX. I realize the texture draw in FS9 is not dds but was wondering if DXT would convert those textures. But first, is the FS9 bgl convertible to FSX and if so, how is that done? IMHO, the default airport terminals leave a lot to be desired. Thanks
July 21, 201213 yr My only suggestion is to try. A lot of FS9 objects do work in FSX although, as you mention, there can be problems with materials and textures. Jon ------- Microsoft Flight Sim MVP Airport Design Editor FSDeveloper.com
July 21, 201213 yr FSX uses the same MediumAirport.bmp that is used in FS9, so you should be able to use Chris' file in FSX. Be aware that FSX does have a bump and a spec for that file, so you may see some oddities due to windows being different, etc. As always, back up the original before making any changes. regards, Joe The best gift you can give your children is your time.
