Do you think it's possible P3D will be reworked to make better use of multiple cores, or is that really not possible or even likely

Well, remember it was done "once" after the RTM... question is will LM consider it worthwhile (profitable) to do so...

Also consider that multiple comps can be used... so maybe less of a reason for reworking the multi-threading capability.

How are multiple comps used, w/ P3D I assume you are saying?

LM refers to it as "multi-channel capability", Noel.

Here's one link from a search I did on "multi-channel" (at the prepar3d forum):http://www.prepar3d.com/forum-5/?mingleforumaction=viewtopic&t=265

hope that helps

I plan to make good use of that feature when they release ver1.4 :)

It seems like this architecture mainly speaks to having multiple views open, but could be not/less useful for improving performance when only one main view is use.

yes exactly...

more to your question... after I posted earlier... i do remember something about questions being raised if LM would work on enhancing MP ability... just search the forums... talk of improving GPU usage too but specifically what I do not remember.
