July 25, 201213 yr Hello I have posted this over at the Oncourse forum but it may get more response here. I have an ongoing issue with PFE when flying out of London Stansted, I am always given 120.68 as the departure frequency, this frequency cannot be tuned on my radios. If any PFE users could plan a flight EGSS to EHRD, compile it and post the contents of the following files I would be very grateful. \PFE\FS2000\PF2000\FlightPlans\PF2000 - EGSS to EHRD.freq \PFE\Data\freq_conversion.dat I only get this issue with Stansted, every other location tested works fine. I just want to rule out an issue with my particular installation that has plagued me for a long time. Thanks

In a pinch - you might download ADE and edit the frequency to something more to your liking. i7 [email protected] | 32GB RAM | EVGA RTX 3080Ti | Maximus Hero VII | 512GB 860 Pro | 512GB 850 Pro | 256GB 840 Pro | 2TB 860 QVO | 1TB 870 EVO | Seagate 3TB Cloud | EVGA 1000 GQ | Win10 Pro | EK Custom water cooling.
July 25, 201213 yr Author Hello Paul Many thanks for that, it seems yours does the same. The thing is it seems that the compiler is adding the departure frequency as these are not in either the UK2000 afcad or the default bgl, so editing the afcad does not work. UK2000 afcad frequencies Freq Type Name 120.625 Approach ESSEX RADAR 127.175 ATIS EGSS 121.725 Ground STANSTED 121.950 Ground STANSTED DELIVERY 126.950 Approach STANSTED DIRECTOR 123.800 Tower STANSTED 125.550 Tower STANSTED TOWER Default frequencies Freq Type Name 120.625 Approach ESSEX RADAR 127.175 ATIS EGSS 121.725 Ground STANSTED 121.950 Ground STANSTED DELIVERY 126.950 Approach STANSTED DIRECTOR 123.800 Tower STANSTED 125.550 Tower STANSTED Stranger still I have just discovered that the pf2000 - egss to ehrd.brf has these frequencies listed CLR GROUND TOWER DEPART APP UNI MULTI FSS 125.550 121.725 123.800 118.600 120.675 000.000 000.000 122.200 I am going to try this again tonight using 118.60 and see how I get on, odd that PFE ATC issues the 120.68 and also shows 120.68 in PFE_Display. Many thanks though for trying this out for me.
July 25, 201213 yr No sweat, Man. My brf is the same as yours, too; strange.... I'll do some digging, too. i7 [email protected] | 32GB RAM | EVGA RTX 3080Ti | Maximus Hero VII | 512GB 860 Pro | 512GB 850 Pro | 256GB 840 Pro | 2TB 860 QVO | 1TB 870 EVO | Seagate 3TB Cloud | EVGA 1000 GQ | Win10 Pro | EK Custom water cooling.
July 25, 201213 yr Author Hello paul I had another go at EGSS-EHRD tonight, when told to contact departure on 120.68 I tried the 118.60 from the .brf. No joy with that so I just continued the climb and when at the normal hand off altitude for centre @14500 I proceeded to contact London centre on 118.35 and they picked me up from there OK, en-route now and just been handed off to Amsterdam control on 125.75. So all is well, I hope Dave M can fix this but I can work around it for now. This is the only airport I have come across with this issue. I initially started this particular short flight as a way to test for MindYerBeaks problem with not getting decent instructions after asking for a higher alt and ended up with an issue of my own. I will try a flight tomorrow and see if I have that particular issue here, but for tonight I am just glad to be clear of EGSS after two days of trying.
July 26, 201213 yr Well - I think that's really EGSSellent! You'll sleep well tonight! i7 [email protected] | 32GB RAM | EVGA RTX 3080Ti | Maximus Hero VII | 512GB 860 Pro | 512GB 850 Pro | 256GB 840 Pro | 2TB 860 QVO | 1TB 870 EVO | Seagate 3TB Cloud | EVGA 1000 GQ | Win10 Pro | EK Custom water cooling.
July 26, 201213 yr That frequency bug has been in PFE for a long time, I brought it up with Dave March a long time ago while he was actually doing any development. I was asked by him to join his beta team because I was answering a lot of questions on the forum in regards to PFE and seemed to know what I was talking about, lol. He retired from work a couple of years ago and as it now transpires he stopped development of PFE too around about the same time. Anyway when you get one of those weird frequencies try tuning up or down one notch and try contacting ATC there, so with that example try .675 or .700 i.e. 25khz steps. I know you cant see the last digit but it makes it easier to visualize, for me at least anyway. Cheers, Andy.
July 26, 201213 yr Author Hello Andy Thanks for confirming that it is a bug and not something amiss with my PFE install. Unfortunately my radios (goflight) and all the radios in my addons except the RXP GPS's only tune two digits after the decimal point. Ignoring the call to contact departure, going directly up to 14500ft and contacting centre seems to work. I guess the issue must be in the PF2000 code and therefore unfixable otherwise Dave would have sorted it out.
July 26, 201213 yr You can still tune 120.675, its the same as 120.67, thats why I made the comment about not being able to see the last digit. 120.67 is actually 120.675 on your hardware too, you just don't see the last number i.e. 5 So try .67 and .70 and see if it works then, it should thats why I replied because thats how I get around the bug. Cheers, Andy.
