My system is not considered a high flying machine, which I really have no problems using GEX.

If it helps, GEX textures are the same size as the default textures which means that there wont be any difference in performance between the GEX textures and stock.

 

Although the GEX texture have better autogen annotation, so running GEX textures may actually improve performance very slightly.
