August 3, 201213 yr Hi, Would it be possible to implement the FMS feature seen at 1:25 in this video? As the ATIS in FSX has such a short range, I usually find myself wondering what approach to expect, and end up having to reprogram the FMC when ATC assigns me another approach than the one I've started flying. The result is usually a rather messy approach... Maybe it would be possible to either get the ATIS data directly from the FSX weather stations, or ATIS service, or I'm sure you could get the data from WX add-ons, or even a website or server. The best solution though would be if the data could be obtained directly from FSX, as the most interesting part is which runway and approach to expect, and not necessarily the real world weather... I really look forward to flying the 777, and hope my input is of some relevance! Magnus F.
August 4, 201213 yr For example VATSIM has the possibility to print out the METAR. For example http://metar.vatsim.net/engm . I have no idea how to program guages, but perhaps that could be possible to use? Kind regards Werner Rafteseth Intel i7-2600K, Corsair H60, Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600 16GB, GeForce GTX 960
August 4, 201213 yr Commercial Member IvAp for IVAO has a pretty neat ATIS request system built into the client software. My favorite was the old British Airways virtual ACARS system, those who remember it will know what I'm talking about. Was quite handy having that as part of a home cockpit setup. Rob Prest
August 5, 201213 yr The 777's is on the "Comm" page on the synoptic panel which from my knowledge PMDG won't be doing anything with. That is where position reports etc go/come from. - Luke Pabari
August 5, 201213 yr This is already done for VATSIM by Jeroen Hoppenbrouwers. He Programmed an MCDU including ATIS Messages. This feature is currently only available, if there is an ATIS set up by ATC but you can get METARs and TAFs too. Check him out: http://www.hoppie.nl/mcdu/ Hendrik Peter
