FSX not remembering individual weather station settings... What to do?

Featured Replies

Hello,

I was wondering if someone could assist me with the following issue. The issue I am having is that FSX for some reason is not setting my customized weather settings. I click the individual weather station and set my desired settings, however when I move to the weather station (airport) and set a weather for it, the settings for the first station return to the default settings. The issue occurs if I use the weather themes in FSX or the Real-World weather feature in FSX.

Honestly, I don't know what else to do... I have deleted the FSX.cfg file to see if it help and the issue still remains...

Any ideas?

System Specs in the signature.

Many thanks for any help on this matter!

Hi Mike, When you say you are using custom settings, do you mean that you are customizing existing themes? Normally you should set individual airport weather settings once you have entered FSX and use only the Advanced weather custom weather setup. That will set you up. You are ready to fly with the custom WX.

If I hear you right by your first note, you are opening and making custom settings and then picking a pre-set? Do I have that right.? If you set custom and then switch to themes before you fly it will load the canned selections and not save your custom WX.

Hope that helps

Hello what I mean by customizing weather is when I use the user defined weather option in FSX. I go and set the station weather and when I move to the next one the previously set weather station forgets its setting. I remember this used to work in FS2004.

I am not modifying any weather themes whatsoever, I am just changing the weather settings in an airport.

Hope this clarification better explains my issue.
