August 18, 201213 yr Hi, Ever since I purchased my new computer, I'm having problems with the keyboard assignments in FS9. But it seems to give me the problem only when I fly an addon, like PMDG. For example, when I fly the PMDG 747-400 and I press the keys Control+Shift+G to engage the auto-throttles or TO/GA, nothing happens. Even when I use the PMDG assignments such as the L1 door, it sometimes does not work. I'm running Windows 7 64 bit. Ken.

August 20, 201213 yr I can't help you with the PMDG, but don't they have a support forum here? Maybe you will get an answer there. The only thing I can add is to have you double check the key assignments in the sim and verify they are set up the way you want. regards, Joe The best gift you can give your children is your time.
August 20, 201213 yr Hi. I would re-assign the PMDG key shortcuts from PMDG option tab. That includes doors.

That might be the best thing. I'm thinking it's a Windows 7 issue. Ken. Hi. I would re-assign the PMDG key shortcuts from PMDG option tab. That includes doors. Well, I did try to use the PMDG Key shortcuts but it doesn't have the key option to engage auto-throttles. Ken.
August 20, 201213 yr Get reg. copy FSUIPC to start, DELETE all FS9 CMDS, all of them and use PMDG options menu then FSUIPC for the rest. I have done this for over a decade and have no problems w/ any add-on. I use FS9.1 Windows 7, 64 bit and a ton of stuff PMDG (747-MD-11) included I think most would say the same...hope it helps

I tried the FS9 assignments using the default aircrafts and the assignments do not work with them either. I even clicked the button "Reset Defaults" in the Control Assignments box and they still do not work. There is no reason for these assignments not to work, and I hope I don't have to re-install FS9 and all of the other addons all over again. These assignments were working just fine in Windows 7 at one time. If I use the FSUIPC to assign the action I want, how do I do that? I tried to assign them using the FSUIPC and it still does not work. I must not be doing something right. By the way, are you running Windows 7 64 bit? Ken.
August 21, 201213 yr Do other add-ons work? Or just PMDG broke? You might try manually removing all pmdg acrft/files and be sure you re-install per their instructions. There is a specific order if you own various acrft from PMDG. I don't think a total re-install of FS9.1 is needed. Also be sure you delete ALL FS9.1 CMDS (time consuming I know) before using FSUIPC, using both may well and has for me caused problems, Pete will tell you the same. I would also as a last resort delete your fs9 cfg file and build a new one on the reboot of fs9.1 before deleting all FS9 cmds. This will clean out any duplicates and will save in most cases alot of head bangers when reassigning keys buttons axis etc. Be sure you back up your cfg file prior to removing, this will allow you to easily redo any tweaks you may have performed to the cfg file, eg. texture parameters, removing brake message etc. This may take an hour or so to complete depending on circumstances. Don't fear you will be up again soon Yes Windows 7 64 bit....works just fine
