If I'm right, Majestic Dash-8 Q400 upcoming project has all the FM done outside FSX using JSBSim. It should be better than FSX for them to justify doing it this way, right?

 

That's really good news Alec. Last time I read about their products was around 2005 when I was still using fs9. They were already producing their line of semi-professional Dash-8 sims. Great they're using JSBsim - it's indeed a great flight dynamics core. Outerra uses it as well, if I'm not wrong!

When Flightgear becomes as good as FSX then I'll use it but i'm not holding my breath.

I've noticed over the last few years that you bash Flight Gear whenever you get a chance and whenever anything to do with it gets posted on these forums.

You've given your opinion and of course are entitled to it. Your input is welcome, however then proceeding to destroying the thread and diving into arguments is not...

I've uninstalled it - end of story.

 

As it should be. You don't like it, then don't use it and move on. Sensible decision on your part.

 

In recent years I've downloaded and installed, or tried to instal, the latest FlightGear releases..

 

It's given me no reason whatsover to use it instead of either FS9 or FSX so I uninstalled it.. It's a simple as that

 

In answer to Momtchil's warning you said that you uninstalled it and tha was the end of the story. He then backed off, and when he left you cam back. It's as simple as that.

 

You did this in the X-Plane forums. And now you have moved on to the Flight Gear forums.

Instead of asking cynical questions that will never have an appropriate answer for you, why don't you just go to the forums that have topics on (as far as you're concerned) the best flight sim?

 

This is a Saturday afternoon. a rare time for me to do fun things but I have now spent almost two hours reading this thread and researching and discussing this with other admins after receiving five (5) count them, complaints about this.

 

Come to think of it, Goran is right. We have had this same situation before over at X-Plane. If this is not your sim of choice, or are not seriously investigating it to compare for making such a decision this forum is not for you.

 

We are withdrawing your permissions for posting in this thread. If you post in other Flight Gear forums you will lose the ability to do the same there as well.

 

I don't want another fight with another member that I happen to like and respect, but the line is now drawn, so do all both a favour and be finished picking a fight with these guys and raining on this parade once and for all. It is as simple as that.
