August 26, 201213 yr After couple of days of tinkering and comparisons, I went ahead and did a simple compare due to new tinting to see what is different. Installed FSUIPC, EZCA, FSForce, FSGlobal, UTX, GEX, CorfuX, REX-E with the same textures in both sims, Shade with the same settings in both. Not much of a difference though, whites are a bit whiter, whole pictures is a bit brighter, and water is bluer - which I don't really understand why though. Lower FPS in P3D? Yeah... Here we go: FSX P3D
August 26, 201213 yr I am perplexed as to why P3D would put out lower FPS than FSX in certain scenarios...
August 26, 201213 yr It's only a difference of 3 and the P3D shot has scenery and aircraft shadows on ASUS ROG STRIX Z390-E GAMING / i9-9900k @ 4.7 all cores w/ NOCTUA NH-D15S / 2080ti / 32GB G.Skill 3200 RIPJAWS / 1TB Evo SSD / 500GB Evo SSD / 2x 3TB HDD / CORSAIR CRYSTAL 570X / IPSG 850W 80+ PLATINUM / Dual 4k Monitors
August 26, 201213 yr Oh yeah, I totally missed that... will check the fps, but I guess they will be similar when I enable shadowing in FSX.
August 26, 201213 yr It's ok man. With all the testing you do in between real life stuff some things are bound to get overlooked. :) ASUS ROG STRIX Z390-E GAMING / i9-9900k @ 4.7 all cores w/ NOCTUA NH-D15S / 2080ti / 32GB G.Skill 3200 RIPJAWS / 1TB Evo SSD / 500GB Evo SSD / 2x 3TB HDD / CORSAIR CRYSTAL 570X / IPSG 850W 80+ PLATINUM / Dual 4k Monitors
August 26, 201213 yr Whoa... disabled scenery shadows and aircraft shadows, like in FSX, and shooting over 60+ now in P3D. Thanks for noticing!!!!
August 26, 201213 yr and shooting over 60+ now in P3D. Thanks for noticing!!!! :shok: :shok: :o If you can do some benchmarks that prove this correct, I will buy it tomorrow and move to P3D. That is a HUGE jump in FPS!!
August 26, 201213 yr Man, I'll crawl into the black hole I came from. Now it seems all my comparisons are for......arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh. All because of ONE checkmark.   It seems that P3D really has a boost over FSX. A significant one. I will be testing, yes. But man, it's 3:40 am I really should get some sleep. So... cya, although I WOULD love to keep on.
August 26, 201213 yr Hi Word Not Allowed, I know P3D out performs FSX, I see it first hand on my system. Thanks to some of your incite and tweaks, I've been enjoying P3D ver. 1.4 with far superior performance to FSX. It seems that P3D really has a boost over FSX. A significant one. August 26, 201213 yr But before I do go... with the correction! FT Vienna + NGX FSX: VC 27, Ext 32 P3D: VC 34, Ext 44 That IS a lot. And now... I have been suspecting. But knowing myself, I really want some numbers. And correct ones at that
August 26, 201213 yr Hi, Well, get some rest and start fresh tomorrow. :Peace: and now, back to my flight from TNCA to KATL, right over ISSAC. August 26, 201213 yr FT Vienna + NGX FSX: VC 27, Ext 32 P3D: VC 34, Ext 44 :o Holy cow!! I think that I am doing a full switch this week. Those numbers are groundbreaking... This is a revolution for our community if this continues. :Big Grin: Michael - Thanks for your input as well! ^_^
