Pulling my hair out..

Alrighty I'm having heck with my card. I have a GTX 670 setup per Kostas guide. I have horrible shimmer in cockpits and taxi lines etc. My aircraft are perfectly Jaggies free on the outside so AA is working but seems sgssaa isn't working properly. I've tried every setting in inspector I can think of with no effect. Any ideas?

Have you done a full clean re-install of your drivers?

  • Author

Yeah I've done that twice. Cleared out all registry entries etc to make sure it's completely clean.

Post some screens showing your AA issue. And maybe screens of your nVidia Inspector settings too. Running DX10 or DX9?

  • Author

DX9 and inspector is identical to Kostas. Screenshots don't show shimmer.

What driver are you using?

I've tried both 301.42 as well as 304.79 betas no difference.

Try 296.10. - I've had issues with the 30X.XX series drivers in the past and I think that it would be worth a try to use an older driver.

I don't think the adaptive vsync works with the older drivers. But I'll give it a shot when I get home. Might be a worthy trade off.

IIRC, 296.10 supports Adaptive Vsync.
