Black Bird/Red Tail T-Duke

I'm determined to learn how to paint. There is an excellent tutorial by Dan Trix on You Tube:

Thanks for the link. Just what I've been looking for.

He keeps referring to his written tutorial but I don't see any link to it? His Forum link seems dead?

Pretty comprehensive tutorial but he does tend to use a dozen words where one would do (waffle) and then rush through the important bits. I'll keep watching but a written tutorial is easier when you're actually doing this stuff.

Cheers

Sadly, Dan is a victim of the bad economy, and had to take the sites down. I would assume that they would go back on line once fortunes change. I wish em the best.

Sorry to hear that. Things are really tough for many right now.

I'm starting to catch on... I do wish I had PSP, but my bank told me go to my room when I brought it up!! LOL... Im using the poor mans PSP, Corels Photo Shop Pro X4. RealAir released the "paint kit" for the T-duke... a PSP file with all the layers that they use to build the plane. Make it very easy to do once you figure out the program you use (PSP, Pro, GIMP, Paint.net, ETC).

Something really hard is the Carenado planes.. no paint kits... Here's my first C plane... B58, same "style" as the T-duke:

Yes don't we all have problems with the bank, I tried to explain to her why i need this or that plane, but like you I am sent to my room for a timeout. :t0105:

Paint looks great on the Baron.
