September 1, 201213 yr I mainly fly offline and therefor use the default FSX ATC. While using the default ATC there are random options in the menu to either, Select a new IFR destination and or cancel your IFR. My question is, how do I delete the option (Select a new IFR destination) from the ATC menu, so I can work with the ATC without accidentally pressing that option and crashing FSX!? regards, Ciaran
September 1, 201213 yr Author Nothing you do in the ATC menu should crash FSX Sometimes I might accidentally press the Select a new IFR destination and FSX closes with an excuse (A Fatal Error Has Occurred) Anyway to remove that option?
September 1, 201213 yr Sometimes I might accidentally press the Select a new IFR destination and FSX closes with an excuse (A Fatal Error Has Occurred) Anyway to remove that option? There is no way to remove that option. When you select it, FSX closes so you can select another destination or flight plan. If you decide not to change the destination you are offered the opportunity to cancel and continue with your current flight. There has to be another reason for the crash. Is there an error message? Did you receive a BSOD or just an error message that FSX has to close due to an error? Is there any "event" recorded in the Event Viewer? Best regards, Jim
September 1, 201213 yr Author Did you receive a BSOD or just an error message that FSX has to close due to an error? Is there any "event" recorded in the Event Viewer? Best regards, Jim Didn't receive any BSOD just an error message saying FSX has to close. I have checked the event viewer and this is what its providing.... September 1, 201213 yr Exception code: 0xc0000005 Google search this. This is not a FSX specific error. It indicates a error in your CPU, the APP is just reporting. It could happen at any point of the program or any module. Other Apps trip on this as well. Some say it's caused by an over aggressive Over Clock, but that doesn't seem to be the issue in your case. September 1, 201213 yr The ENB Series module is causing your crash. Uninstall it - remove d3d9.dll and enb.ini from your main FSX directory. A lot of people are getting crashes with the ENB module. Do some Google searches and maybe you'll find one that is compatible. Best regards, Jim
