Wilco Doesn't make the ERJ. That's a Feelthere product sold on the Wilco site.

As far as ERJ's go, probably the best you'll get.

I have FT's ERJ V2 and it's a fine piece of work in many ways except for internal night lightening which several users hoped they would improve, but they never did. IMO they are not a very responsive developer and rather than entertain improvements that would make many happier they instead focus on defending their work or describing work arounds. Because of this I won't buy future products from FT. I know they don't care about my particular business which of course is their prerogative.

I boycotted FeelThere after their poor handling of requests to improve virtual cockpit lightning, especially at night. Thumbing your nose at customers is no way to get more sales. It's a shame though because I really enjoyed flying their 737 classics.

There's a good review. http://www.avsim.com...elThere/ERJ.htm I like the planes and they weren't expensive too. The avionics are pretty detailed and the features like the interactive checklists help on the first steps. Hand flying is nice and I also like the cockpit feel and atmosphere.

I'd say the night lighting comes in as a downside, mainly because it's just on or off and very bright and yellow-ish. But the rest is fun, especially the sounds.

The config tool of theirs allows for a nice setup, even on gauge refresh rates and the latest build of MCE also supports the planes, means you can have a voice commanded FO if you like, among other things.

Just make sure to really pick the 'V2' variant. They sometimes offer a discount in certain shops, I think PC Aviator had them for 20 bucks or so. That's like stealing.

I really like the plane, I do alot, but I uninstalled it because of fps issues with windows 7 64.

For whatever reason, fps is locked at 18fps or lower even when in cruise, something is holding it back. Even the NGX is better than this in fps.

I tried everything in settings, reduced all the displays, weather radar disabled, and reviewed every forum post about fps but there was never a solution. Officially the sale site didn't include windows 7 in supported OS so it was my risk to take. It was still a great plane and flyables for short flights but on long flights the performance deteriorated over time. I just got more enjoyment out of faster performing addons.

On the positive side the Call checklists included are excellent and the model is very nice, the systems are also good. MCE also supports this plane.

I have their ERJ175/195 and on those the FPS issue I reported was to do with their VC/panel in both FS9/FSX. I use the Grabowski panel and it is fine. I did not get a satisfactory response from them on this so I just continued without using their panels.
