AI Traffic package

Featured Replies

Hello,

which AI Traffic program is the best in the market now? I know there is the freeware WOAI, which to my taste the quality of the models is surpassing even the payware ones, but WOAI needs many hours of downloading and file manipulation, and I am not that expert, plus there are some minor issues with FSX according to what I read in the forums.

Thank you in advance

Oh noes, here we go again. I can already see MTX vs UT2 wars starting...

Seriously, there is already lots about the subject here in avsim, so try the search. MTX and UT2 are the best depending on who you ask. Both have their strengths, weaknesses and supporters. Get the one which suits your needs best.

May I suggest you to search the forums, please? We've had at least two threads in the last few weeks, and it's always the same discussion whether UT2 or MTX is better.

Here are some links:

And I'm sure there'll be loads of other threads about this if you do a search.

war? what war, I only wanted briefly to know which of the existed AI Traffic packages are good compared to WOAI.

Thank you for the links, of course I could make the search but as I said above I was looking for a brief information instead of deepen inside the long discussions.

I didn't really read this, because there is no chance of getting brief information on that topic. If I said one is good, there'll always be others who say no that's not good at all, take the other one. And as TheGrunt said, it'll always depend on who you ask.

UT2 is my opinion is the best, plus the Power Pack allows you to import other schedules. You can also replace default UT2 aircraft with other AI ones. There is also a new update coming soon with some improvements that have not been revealed yet.

It is not your fault, but there is a great possibility that this thread turns to endless and pointless arguing about which one has the edge.

Basically, there is no simple and brief answer as already mentioned. MTX and UT2 both do the basic job wonderfully (that is create traffic for immersion), but it is in the details and in their attention to different things that makes them different kind of products. IMO choosing between those two is completely subjective matter and as such there is no definitive ansewer, at least not an easy one. So, you have to decide which suits your needs best, as I said. Information is easily available so do some research, read reviews and forums and make a decision. That's what I did about a year ago.
