Hi guys I have Asus Maximus Extreme IV B3 version looking to upgrade ram any ideas on the best for FSX please. This was what I'm looking at

The test you have linked doesn't test FSX (no review sites do anymore, sadly). Our own testing here @ Avsim says otherwise. See the FSXMark 11 thread for proof. I experienced a 10% gain in FPS across the board going from 1600 to 2133 on my Ivy Bridge chip. Granted, Sandy may not do quite as well since its IMC is not tuned for high memory speed, but there are definitely speed boosts to be had.

 

So the question is: is it worth the cost? Only the buyer can answer that question.

DDR3 2400 is very affordable. - I don't see why not.

 

In fact, that memory kit that I linked is 50% cheaper than the RAM I bought for my system a year ago. (1866)

 

It drives me nuts how cheap stuff is now... I got ripped off! :lol:
