September 15, 201213 yr Hi, How could I make this B747 work in FSX? Or maybe tranfer the textures? http://library.avsim...php?DLID=144254
September 15, 201213 yr Commercial Member Just extract it and put folder with aircraft.cfg and other files in it to your FSX\Simobjects\Airplanes folder. Then if sounds or panel don't work go to default B747_400 folder there and copy sound & panel folders to posky one and replace.

September 16, 201213 yr So I got it to work but now i'm having trouble adding the VC. COuld someone please help me?
September 16, 201213 yr You can't add a VC as it's not a native FSX model. It was compiled for FS2004.
September 17, 201213 yr My guess is that what you show in the first screenshot is the back end of the VC model. Simply try to move your viewpoint forward with "CTRL"+"Backspace". If you can "enter" the VC this way, you'll have to move your VC viewpoint forward in the aircraft.cfg, which will require some playing around with the numbers, though. In this case I recommend you add a "reload aircraft" key command (I set it to "CTRL"+"R"). Regards, Flo Florian
September 17, 201213 yr I downloaded a specific POSKY 744/748 FSX package from somewhere with AF liveries amongst others. Worked straight out of the box, without any fiddling. So maybe try looking for that? I have a feeling I got it from simviation.com.
September 17, 201213 yr I have a feeling I got it from simviation.com. Silly me that I didn't think of that! Yeah, there are some 74's over at Simviaton, all featuring a VC, and I think, there are even some with a somehow redone VC. Give the a try, it's way easier than messing with the viewpoint settings in the cfg file. Florian
September 17, 201213 yr Yeah that's what I thought - much easier to download the whole package as it had VC, a good sound set and plenty of liveries in it.
September 18, 201213 yr Right but the one from above has the best Textures..... I agree, they look very nice. But you can still try to install those textures to a package of those TurboTomato and I mentioned. You got a good chance that that'll work just fine. Regards, Flo Florian

September 19, 201213 yr Could you please maybe help me make this work? Well, I guess it's just a matter of copying that "original" AF texture (from your first post) to the to the package, and then you add the entry for that livery in the aircraft.cfg(which can be copied from the original cfg, except for renumbering the [fltsim.0] to whatever is next in the aircraft.cfg of the package. Hope this was helpful Flo Florian
