Steam updates, adobe updates, etc are the most common cause, not to mention my antivirus proudly reporting it has finished updating....... Those were the causes I was thinking were likely the cause myself... and why is the anti-virus always so proud >_< oh, the beta also addresses these corrupt installations? those were a reason way before MS dropped flight to stop play flight - I just could not start it in 9 out of 10 cases. so this might bring me back into the game now, literally. will check the steam forum. phil edit: "In your Steam Game Library, Right Click on Microsoft Flight and select properties, then the Beta Tab. " so I need to be on steam? too bad. I made a account for getting in touch with you guys for me corrupt installation issues but I never actually installed steam, let alone purchased any DLC via steam. How do I now proceed from here? Phil, dlc carries over between Steam and Games for windows - LIVE, all you need to do is purchase the free game through the Steam client then access the beta as you mentioned above. There *should* be no other work required as the dlc/product keys are tied to your gamertag, which is what you would be logging in on in the Steam version... you would just also be logging in on the Steam account as well, so you can access steam community features as well as chat with any friends you have on Steam.
October 5, 201213 yr I always think of these programs like a puppy with a live bird in its mouth....... THUNK! *drops it on your foot* "Look what I did!" *wags tail wildly* Meanwhile, by the time you get back in the program, you are probably tangled in a tree now after a thirty minute flight. October 8, 201213 yr and if so, how to fix it? Any help is greatly appreciated. Download and install flight via steam. Just did it and for the first time after 4 months I could start flight and make a few quick flights in Hawaii and Alaska. I would be a happy camper now.
