Does anyone know wether PMDG are going to make a box version for the 6/700 version for the ngx and i if so when will it be released

Again why would you want a box version where you can download it and than burn it your self on a cd. Surely you dont want it for the nice cd case it comes in

Maybe he doesn't have easy access to a decent internet connection? (It is quite a large download and could be frustrating on slow connections)

 

Perhaps he prefers getting something in hard copy that he can put away and keep and then re-install without the hassle of re-downloading?

As Richard said, i prefere a hard copy as it is easy and quick to install. i have a good connection, however, still takes a long time for a file that size to download and dont really want to wait several hours and then something to go wrong and having to start over again. To be honest if a person would like a hard copy of a add on such as the NGX then they can have a hard copy or if people want a downloaded one then they can have a downloaded version, other people should not say what a person should or should not have, its up to them at the end of the day.

if it takes you a few hours to just to download the 600/700 package than there some thing wrong with your connection, and i cant see any difference in burning it to a disk and buying it other than the case you get with it. Plus the good thing if you download it its up to date with the latest sps etc.

Not everybody has a super fast, amazing, lightning bolt connection. The package took me nearly an hour to download on a connection with a download speed of nearly 1mbps, so god knows how long it would take on a slower connection. If he would prefer the product on disc then why shouldn't he be allowed to, at least he's willing to front up the money and support the business. Its not up to you to tell him.

How you choose to backup your FS files is your choice and off topic. If they guy likes to purchase his addon aircraft on CD and have the thrill of opening the package when it arrives, well then that's his preference.

Pete, just accept the fact that some people want a boxed version, easy as that.

as i have previously said i have a good internet connection, however, downloading a file like that can take a while. to be honest it's like marmite, if you like it you like it, if you dont then you dont. its not up to you to say to some one you will like this and you will hate that. its pathetic.

i agree with richard. people may not be fortanate to havean external hardrive in their back pocket also when i make a purchase of an add on, i do like it to be sent as a cd because then i can look forward for something in the post. it makes it a little bit special rather than downlading it, waiting for ever then to find out it didnt download proberly and having to start the process all over again which is annoying and aggrovating

i prefere a hard coppy so that when i come to needing the cd i can find it quicker by looking at the spine and also knowing that the cd is save in the box. i can ubnderstand that people like downloading it then burning it to a cd. i have been brought up to buy a box versions of a product instead of downloading as many factors can go wrong! also i enjoy waiting for it to come in the post as it gives me something to look forward to.
