September 30, 201213 yr Hi everybody I have a high spec 64 bit computer with Windows 7 Home premium with no problems until I install PMDG 747X and PMDG MD11X and then I have what I believe is called the "busy icon" that is the Windows 7 ring or circle and the normal "arrow" icon both flashing quickly together. I can't seem to find an answer for this so please can someone help me thanks in anticipation. Geoff senior
September 30, 201213 yr Locate your FSX.cfg and edit it with the following. The bufferpools edit is on its own and can be placed at the top of the .cfg the highmemfix is placed in the graphics section. [bUFFERPOOLS] Usepools=0 [GRAPHICS] HIGHMEMFIX=1 There is also a good thread that could be helpful: http://forum.avsim.net/topic/370594-read-before-posting-software-hardware-guide-for-fsx/ \Robert Hamlich/
September 30, 201213 yr Also run fsx.exe as administrator by right-clicking the icon, selecting "properties" and on the "compatibility" tab click the box that says "run as administrator" so that it is checked, then click ok and run FSX.
September 30, 201213 yr Commercial Member Another quick note...try running FSX in windowed mode and then go back to full screen...this sometimes fixes little issues for me. Repaint Requests - Get your OWN custom repaint

November 21, 201213 yr Thanks guys for your replies, it may be a stupid question but where do I locate file FSX cfg ? so far I can't locate it anywhere. Geoff Senior Try this: Click on start, type in the search box (Run), In Run type (%appdata%) look for Microsoft in the opened folder and it should be there. I think it only works like that if you have hidden files to 'Show Hidden Files & Folders'. If that doesn't help then Im completely wrong Regards, Ciaran.
November 21, 201213 yr Author Thanks very much Ciaran I shall go upstairs and try your suggestion. Geoff.
