Gentlemen,

 

Is there a way within the sound.cfg or .wav tp modify some of the crew responses to checklist callouts?, ie "standby". I realize this is a trigger for switch positioning, but is , for me, annoying.

PS I don't ever remember, as a TWA flight deck crewmember, responding "Standby!"

There's no way to modify it as it's hard-coded.

 

Sometimes we add a bit of extra audio to compensate for the fact that you're not physically sitting beside someone at your home computer, and therefore there's no extra "non-verbal" communication at play that you would get if you're in a real cockpit.

 

Also, some people/airlines may say "Standby", some won't. Million ways to skin a cat.
