I think its about time to go out and pay for one of these planes, Ive always thought it was a little expensive to buy one of them, but now I think I can afford it.What do you think the best plane they have is, quality wise320/330/340

I've bee kind of thinking the Dash 8 with the full livery pack. And the 320 Pro just so I can use the panel with the iFDG 320, hehe. billg

The Dash8 bugs me, it seems too dumbed down. But the A320 is right now the only A320 panel out there worth a darn, even if it is too dumned down. I suggest the A320 :)

The A320 dumbed down? It may not quite rise to the level of sophisticated as PIC, or the DF/PMDG 737s, but it's certainly not something you're going to gain mastery over in a sitting. The A320 from PSS continues to be one of my favorite panels.

I'll be honest......I don't have the time, nor enough interest, to learn every system in a complex "simulated" aircraft. Where I'd enjoy taking weeks if required to check out in a real Citation X, I don't enjoy spending days or weeks just to get a simulated one off the ground.Therefor, airplanes such as the PSS Dash 8, offer plenty of realism for me. Besides, I like good looking exteriors also!L.Adamson

Sorry to break it to you, but yes, the plane is very dumbed down. You might not gain mastery in a sitting, but it certainly shouldn't take much more.

However, PSS has chosen to simplify the cockpit a bit, and go for another market. This market, in my observation, wants to fly the heavy iron, but doesn't have time or inclinatino to learn a high fidelity simulation. Enter PSS and there sims. Before I get flamed, dumbing down is not derogatory, rather an observation comparing the number of systems that were modeled compared how many systems could be modeled.

There's a market for both. I enjoy the RFP 747, PMDG 737, and CS 737 very much. The learning curve kind of makes you appreciate it more. However, there are many times I just like to jump in and go for a ride and enjoy the scenery and the exterior visuals. That's where the PSS/iFDG 320 and PSS Dash 8 come in. I can check out new airports, new parts of the world, and enjoy what's going on outside the cockpit more than when I'm spending most of my time concentrating inside the cockpit. I enjoy both at different times. billg

I would respectfully suggest that if you are considering a Dash8, and have not lookied at it yet; to concisider the Oleksly Frolov freeware model before you spend any money. If you are looking for a simplified package with some reality and complexity on a limited basis, I don't see how you could beat it (and for free). One man's opinion and I do not mean any disrespect for PSS as I have several of their other offerings.Happy flying and good luck in your choice.RTH

I have everything from PSS.Their aircrafts are really great, I highly recommend their products.

>I have everything from PSS.>>Their aircrafts are really great, I highly recommend their>products.I agree. They make fantastic planes that take some skill to fly and I don't need to be a real pilot to do so (even though I am).See you in the fence...CYYZ

I just bought about $25 CND on some new liveries. Might as well make the most of it. Simflyers is offering a giveaway also, I've got two new airports for being a loyal customer.
