October 6, 201213 yr Hello, I am having a little trouble with the fsdreamteam ohare scenery and ai. I am using ai smooth. My problem is that the ai will descend to the runway way too low. They are at the same level as the autogen trees. Consequently, They touch down far before the runway begins and by the time they get on the runway, they already have their spoilers up . I really love the scenry but this is so unrealistic and I hate watching planes land like that. It kills the realism. Thanks for your help!
October 6, 201213 yr Good luck solving this. There are a lot of discussions on previous threads about similar behavior at different airports. In some cases it seems to be the AI models, on some it's the use of programs like AI Smooth (which I also use) --- but you will find various suggestions and I tried to check them all out a few years ago and concluded there was no single solution. Sorry to be pessimistic but just wanted you to know that this might not be something thats easily solved and may require trying all kinds of different tweaks Good luck
October 14, 201213 yr What AI program are you using? The one I use is MyTraffic and it has its own AFCAD's so that their AI can take off and land based on their schedules. I have MyTraffic place way down in my Scenery Library, near Propellor Objects, so that any addon scenery will not be trumped out. The developer of this product also said it might be a good idea to rename the AFCAD's of the addon scenery airports if you are going to keep your AI program near the top of the Scenery Library. Your AI program may not be doing this but thought I would suggest this in case you do have an AI program with duplicate AFCADS's. October 14, 201213 yr I see this often at major airports on start up due to heavy traffic load. Normally after about 15 to 20 minutes or so, these problems should start clearing up as that initial congestion starts to unwind. If not then I would try lowering your traffic load.
