  1. Turn off the light shafts in settings. Should fix the landing lights issue.
  2. Great, thanks! Any reason the fps cap mode is being phased out?
  3. Essentially, I am trying to calibrate what in sim setting make sense for this mode. It feels like 200 is too high, because it pushes me way up to 400+ over a city like Tokyo (where I was testing), which, although my system can handle, causes massive stuttering and VRAM messages. It seems like the app thinks I have more room to increase settings than I have. I have the cap set at 90 FG (so 30 x3).
  4. Thanks for getting back. I meant to say I was using sensitivity mode prior, and am now testing non expert fps cap mode. Also, I was seeing 500 TLOD, even though I had 200 in sim settings, and IFR mode selected. Regardless, what is a good sim setting to set with this non expert mode? For example, is the idea to set it to something I can get good performance in basically any scenario? Because 200 wouldn’t be that, as it is too high of a setting on the ground at a place like EGLL. Let me know if that makes sense.
  5. Looked at the readme but didn’t see it, so I’ll ask here: if I am using non-expert fps cap mode, what is a good base setting to set my TLOD and OLOD in the sim? Typically, I run with sensitivity mode and do 50 TLOD on the ground, and 200 in the air, but think I can push my system further. However, at 200 set in the sim settings, the non expert mode is too aggressive, and goes above 500 TLOD in the air, causing stuttering and vram messages. Is the idea to set it at something somewhere in the middle of what I use in the ground and in the air?
  6. Does anyone else get seemingly constant rocking/bobbing from left to right in the pmdg 737?
  7. Oh really? They must’ve updated.
  8. Should be 1.3.3 (contrails) or 1.3.4 (Orbx)
  9. Ok, then you most certainly have the same version I have, 1.3.4, if you downloaded from Orbx last night. Do you have the same issue where the game practically freezes for a few seconds when you pan towards the airport when in the air?
  10. This is apparently the newest version and is unavailable on contrails. If you go to the Orbx app, you should be able to download 1.3.4 released last month. I only have this version, and it is unflyable and I have not found a solution.
  11. Are you using v 1.3.4 (from Orbx)? I have a suspicion there is some issue with this version.
  12. Let me know how your performance is when you update.
  13. Anyone else having severe performance issues with Flightbeam KSFO v 1.3.4? Significant stuttering/freezes making the sim unplayable. I had to go back to the Gaya version.
  14. How is MROC? This could be worth it for MROC alone, with all the other islands being a really nice and fun bonus.
  15. How did you get it to not WASM crash when selecting an arrival? Unfortunately, I can’t fly any variant that I have tried (-200 and -300 passenger) because the aircraft will become inop immediately upon selecting a STAR.
  16. Getting WASM crashes on the default a330 when I try to select arrival
  17. Yes, you are right, I was on sensitivity mode. I will switch to cap mode and test it out. Thanks for the help!
  18. If auto settings reduction is disabled, TLOD should only be reduced to the TLOD base setting below the TLOD alt base, correct? I think the opposite is what I’m trying to highlight I’m seeing. Auto settings reduction is disabled, I’m at cruise altitude (~35k ft), far above the TLOD alt base (which I have set to 1000 ft), yet autofps is decreasing TLOD to the TLOD base in certain performance scenarios (when auto reduce settings is disabled) when at cruise altitude.
  19. Thank you for that explanation. And let’s say TLOD base was set to 25, in that case the normal TLOD reductions would occur before autofps settings reductions kick in (or, if dynamic settings is enabled, potentially at the same time as dynamic settings 50% factor)?
  20. To me it still seems like autofps is reducing the LODs when dynamic settings is on. Is that supposed to happen? To be clear, not seeing the “reduce”, but seeing the TLOD and OLOD going down in autofps when at altitude in poor performance conditions.
  21. Thanks for the detailed reply. I’m actually not seeing “reduce”. I’m seeing the TLOD go up and down in autofps. Maybe I’m not understanding the proper function, and that is normal. Also, re performance, it’s possible I was getting ambitious with my settings. I tried the old test versions again and I prefer the latest release.
  22. I notice that on the latest version, whenever I go into MSFS 2024 settings, AutoFPS resets settings to TLOD minimum. Also, even without auto settings reduce activated, autofps is reducing stuff in poor conditions. Is this normal? I don’t seem to remember that happening before. Shouldn’t dynamic settings be taking control of that (when activated)? Also this is anecdotal, but performance seems worse than in the earlier test versions with dynamic settings.
  23. I think maybe the key is to flare just a little. Because the problem is when I flare in the a319 iae I gain altitude. And then when I put the nose down after that it’s all messed up. i’m going to try flaring just barely, and cutting power, and see how that works. update: that didn’t work
  24. Same…I flare at 30 and float immediately. Reduce power and slam to the ground…
