October 10, 201213 yr Commercial Member Probably not the correct term but I noticed now as I scan down forum posts a pop-up bubble/window appears with a sample of the thread. Can I stop this from happening? If so how do I turn this feature off? thx, Clutch Intel i9-12900KF, Asus Prime Z690-A MB, 64GB DDR5 6000 RAM, (3) SK hynix M.2 SSD (2TB ea.), 16TB Seagate HDD, Gigabyte GeForce 5080 RTX, Corsair iCUE H70i AIO Liquid Cooler, UHD/Blu-ray Player/Burner (still have lots of CDs, DVDs!) October 10, 201213 yr Keep the mouse out of the "field of view" so it won't open the preview "bubble." I keep my mouse cursor towards the right side of the screen... Bill, that's right. Clutch, the feature you are seeing is the topic preview function that keeps you from having to view the entire topic if of no interest. This feature was announced a couple of days ago.
October 11, 201213 yr Moderator Prior to this, there was a little box just after the title which accomplished the same preview function... Fr. Bill AOPA Member: 07141481 AARP Member: 3209010556 Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator
October 11, 201213 yr Author Commercial Member Thx guys, I'll just keep the curser to the far left or right as I scroll. October 13, 201213 yr Keeping the cursor to the right or left does not work for me. I don't like these "bubbles". When I surf, I center click on the post I want to read and it opens in a new tab (I use Mozilla Firefox). When I'm done reading, I close the tab and resume surfing. Now, with these bubbles, I have to center click twice. I have not found a workaround that suits my style of surfing. Is there a way to turn this topic preview function feature off? Thanks in advance. Edit: I apologize for being a pain. If I keep the mouse to the very left and just click the dot or star it does open with one left click. I would still like to remove the feature if possible but if not, no big deal. You guys are great for this site. My little habits should not affect the features other users may just love to death.
