October 12, 201213 yr Flew a long loooong haul in the MD-11 and when I'm 2 miles out FSX has ctd. I've flown the md11 many times before without this error. Actually flew it yesterday just fine and with no apparent changes to my system it just occured. Faulting module name: TCAS2v7.dll, version: 1.1.6.0, time stamp: 0x4633aecd In the .ini file [Filtering] Range=100 Altitude=100 Speed=30 [smoothing] Enabled=1 MaxCoast=20 Alpha=0.4 [Logging] Enabled=0 I checked the pmdg support desk and it says "The version should be 1.1.6.0" which I have, and I also searched the forums and haven't found really found an answer yet. Help greatly appreciated Thanks
October 12, 201213 yr I remember receiving the same crash when on final with the MD11 (VATSIM online).. Since then i paranoically switch TCAS to standby during all of my approaches
October 12, 201213 yr Author I remember receiving the same crash when on final with the MD11 (VATSIM online).. Since then i paranoically switch TCAS to standby during all of my approaches interesting, I was flying online when this occurred, but there was no traffic online, also using fsinn. I will try that out. I'm almost paranoid to do another long haul in the md11 now that I've experienced this.
October 12, 201213 yr Commercial Member I'm almost paranoid to do another long haul in the md11 now that I've experienced this. Join the club. I'm getting the FS9 version because of this. FSX is too unreliable to go flying for 12 hours. I've had TCAS crashes in the NGX as well whilst flying online; it is FSX that is at fault, not the aircraft. I avoid it in the NGX by leaving it in standby. Best regards, Robin.
