  1. I posted this 2 years ago, I still stand by 100%. As as soon as I did this I never had a windows 8 joystick disconnect ever again. As soon as I dont have fsuipc involved = disconnects every flight.
  2. We are a flight simulation community of aviation enthusiasts who love Allegiant Air. We utilize our website as a resource where we can gather and share our passion for aviation through flight simulation. This allows us to experience our hobby in the most rewarding way possible. We closely follow real world Allegiant Air and model our own operations after them as close as we can. Our high level of realism comes from up-to-date schedules, accurate fleet information, and various flight planning materials and briefings for every flight. Allegiant VA was founded back in August, 2010. At the time, there were no existing websites that offered a realistic Allegiant Air operation, so we decided we would be the ones to fill the niche .Allegiant primarily uses small to medium sized airports and flies to world class destinations in the United States. MD-80 variants and A319 and A320 aircraft comprise the Allegiant fleet. Our pilots are based at Las Vegas NV, Phoenix-Mesa AZ, St Petersburg/Clearwater FL and Orlando-Sanford FL. Our management team consists of veteran virtual airline managers with extensive VATSIM experience and an actual Allegiant Air A320 pilot (who also flies online) and an airline dispatcher. Allegiant Virtual is a VATSIM Partner VA. We welcome all VATSIM members to join us, whether you are a professional pilot or just starting out. Allegiant VA offers an enjoyable experience for everyone! Join us at ALLEGIANTVA.ORG
  3. not having the metro interface is a good thing, I used the uiautomation core fix and win8 classic shell. zero issues with fsx here.
  4. OK Guys, I am living proof this problem doesn't exist using FSUIPC. I made this post from over a year ago, and still haven't had a disconnect. Not a SINGLE one. So you are free to keep messing around with unproven ways that fail within a few flights, or you can just end all the frustration and have a 100% reliable connection with FSUIPC.
  5. Fly the maddog by leonardo already exists. Thats why pmdg wont make one ever. Plus the pmdg wouldn't be as detailed as the leonardo already is because they dont know how to put a weather radar in their planes.
  6. Thanks for viewing! http://allegiantva.org/
  7. I run windows 8 64bit and every addon I had on 7 works with no issues, PMDG products included. Make sure you completely disable "user account control" through the registry, and run all programs/installers as admin.
  8. This has been suggested dozens of times, has not been a permanent fix. How many times have you flown without a disconnect?
  9. Are you making sure the joystick is disabled every time, and are you accessing fsuipc menu during flight? I've flown hundreds of flights over the past few months and not had a single disconnect. Someone above mentioned DINPUT8.dll was disrupting fsuipc, did you put that in your fsx folder?
  10. The ground scenery is MegaScenery Vegas, and the airport is FlightBeam KPHX. Here is the download! http://library.avsim.net/download.php?DLID=176618
  11. Its finished! Still waiting for it to be added to the library, link will be here shortly!
  12. Thats just default scenery on Extremely Dense Autogen!
  13. CPU: AMD FX8350 OC @ 4.8ghz Motherboard: Asrock 970 Extreme Graphics: AMD Radeon HD7850 2gb Ram: 8gb G.Skill DDR3 1600 SSD:120gb HDD: 1TB CPU Fan: Hyper 212 air cooling
  14. I'm no expert at building PC's, but I get by with a 550W power supply just fine. If you aren't going to add another graphics card, that will do the job just fine.
  15. Now make sure FSX joystick is unchecked. And stay out of the FSUIPC menu during the flight. Report back with your results!
  16. Here's the tweaks and settings I use 24/7 for vatsim flying. Config Additions: [BUFFERPOOLS] UsePools=0 [JOBSCHEDULER] AffinityMask=254 [GRAPHICS] ForceWindowedVsync=1 TEXTURE_MAX_LOAD=4096 HIGHMEMFIX=1 [Main] FIBER_FRAME_TIME_FRACTION=0.10 [Display] TEXTURE_BANDWIDTH_MULT=400 TextureMaxLoad=30 UPPER_FRAMERATE_LIMIT=30 WideViewAspect=True [TERRAIN] LOD_RADIUS=6.500000 Flightbeam KPHX + NGX
  17. I built my first computer when I was 13 with no help other than from youtube videos. Its like legos
  18. No worries, I will have to make a video tutorial on exactly how to do this, cause so far this is the only way to make your joystick work 24/7 on FSX/Windows 8. A registered version is required as the free version doesnt have the function.
  19. I can't believe this thread is still going at this rate. Register your controls with FSUIPC, Disable your joystick in FSX menu = 100% reliable joystick availability.
  20. feel free to pm your cfg if you want me to add everything I have in mine.
  21. It could have something to do with your fsx.cfg. I noticed UsePools=0 in cfg increases load on my graphics card and lowers my cpu load.
  22. The intel is better for fsx. But the 8350 will perform nicely and can be had for $180 vs $330 intel. For that its a great value and if you are looking to save, I'd recommend it.
  23. Seeing the 1055T is from 2010 and the 8350 just released a few months ago. No secrets here, I set it and forget it.
