Ok all you photoshop studs out there. Can some one come up with a DX10 banner?? I have photoshop and will give it a shot myself. Anybody against this. I'll even up the steaks, I will pick one person to pick the best. He does not know it yet but that is fair.

I make a motion to start it tonight and ends Oct 21 (0000z) (Voice from the back "I second it") and the gavel strikes.

 

I for one will think it would be cool. And I'm a man of my word the winner gets himself some brandnew scenery, and I win, a couple rounds of Jack and Sprites.

 

So I'll have photoshop going tomorrow. I hope others do to. NO COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT!! There. I said it....

Thanks Paul!! I got a few ideas, just need to get them into photoshop and play. I left my screenshots at home. Had some real good ones.

OK Pretty cheesey, but not bad for touching photoshop in over two years...give me some more time and I should have something realy mind blowing. Still need some differnt fonts, the lins on the bottom need some work, with the clouds and sun i am very pleased with.

I've been missing the LAX - SFO - SAN since FS9, and your banner just reminded me - so I looked at the Flightbeam KSFO - nice, but it's not DX10 compatible. It would have fitted right in with the DeVinci KSAN.

FB KSFO and KPHX are BOTH DX10 compatiable, been into them both and they look great. I do have the Addon Converter X, burt give them a try before installing that mod. But I have flown into both and am now flying into FSDT KLAX as I type.

I never tried KSFO in DX10 since the website stated not compatable. After reading Brett's reply I gave it a shot. To my surprise I took off and landed and pulled up to an existing gate with no indiation of any problems (texture, lighting or otherwise). May have to give KPDX a try.

 

Side note: Paul really want to thank you and Jim and others for guidance being given on this forum. You guys appear never to get any rest. being at the site 24 hours. Although my computer can not keep up with the "Big Boys" but due your guide along with you and Jim's suggestions, I have been able to squeeze almost every frame possible out of my little computer.

I might bring this up to Mir over at FB and let him know the both his awesome sceneies ARE DX10 compatiable.

Maybe all he is saying is its done in DX9 format. Just poor wording. But I will say his KPHX is the best airport by far. It's just amazing to me what he was able to do. Wish I had those skills. I'd live to see more gamer programmers like Mir come to flightsim to do what they do best.

I'm not taking anything away from anyone involved in FS design but these guys that make Halo and COD have a very special talent!!

He (and DeVinci) certainly will have me as a new customer sometime in the next two or three weeks.. I just have to control the spending.... just did $140 on video-making gear that I can barely use...
